Πρωταγωνιστούν ο Δημήτρης Λιγνάδης στο ρόλο του Οιδίποδα και η Αμαλία Μουτούση στο ρόλο της Ιοκάστης. Στη σκηνή μαζί τους ο Νίκος Χατζόπουλος (Κρέων), ο Κωνσταντίνος Αβαρικιώτης (Τειρεσίας), ο Γιώργος Ζιόβας (Άγγελος), ο Γιώργος Ψυχογιός (Θεράπων), ο Νικόλας Χανακούλας (Εξάγγελος) κι ένας χορός 10 επιπλέον ηθοποιών και μουσικών.

Israel is the honored country of the 48th International Olympus Festival. An age-old civilization, traces of which are lost in the depth of time. Our aim is to present the multifaceted and profound influences that this civilization still has to this mankind. The opera meets the modern pop, the musical is spoken with the Greek art production and the cinema, the classic blends with the primordial Tradition of the Eastern Mediterranean enriched with the domestic influences of the countries of the Jewish diaspora. Το Ισραήλ είναι η τιμώμενη χώρα του 48^ου Διεθνούς Φεστιβάλ Ολύμπου. Ένας πολιτισμός πανάρχαιος, τα ίχνη του οποίου χάνονται στο βάθος του χρόνου. Επιδίωξή μας είναι να παρουσιάσουμε τις πολυσχιδείς και βαθιές επιρροές που και μέχρι σήμερα εξακολουθεί να έχει στην ανθρωπότητα ο πολιτισμός αυτός. Η όπερα συναντά την σύγχρονη ποπ, το μιούζικαλ συνδιαλέγεται με την ελληνική έντεχνη παραγωγή και τον κινηματογράφο, το κλασσικό συμπορεύεται με την αρχέγονη Παράδοση της ανατολικής Μεσογείου εμπλουτισμένη με τις εγχώριες επιρροές των χωρών της εβραϊκής διασποράς.
